Michigan LCV statement on MPART PFAS Report

LANSING – The Michigan League of Conservation Voters today issued the following statement regarding a report released by the Michigan PFAS Action Response Team (MPART) recommending new health safety levels for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).

“The recommendations from MPART are a solid step toward establishing science-based standards for toxic chemicals in our drinking water,” said Lisa Wozniak, executive director of the Michigan League of Conservation Voters. “Toxic PFAS chemicals threaten the water in communities across Michigan. We urge the Whitmer administration to continue on with an aggressive timeline that rapidly puts drinking water protections in place. It is imperative that all Michiganders have safe, clean water to drink.”
