In June 2021, Michigan LCV adopted an ambitious strategic plan. In 20 years, we aim to reverse the legacy of toxic pollution, which has had devastating impacts on human health and our climate, so that we can provide every Michigander access to the cleanest air and land, and safest, most affordable water in the nation. In order to accomplish these goals, we need to grow our team. We are hiring the following positions:
OPEN POSITIONS
Campaigns Director
The Michigan League of Conservation Voters (LCV) is one of Michigan’s largest, most impactful political advocacy organizations tackling drinking water contamination, the rapidly-worsening impacts of climate change, and efforts to undermine our access to the ballot. We are seeking a full-time Campaigns Director to lead and direct our advocacy, electoral, lobbying, and public education programs. This role is designed to build power by electing people at the federal, state and municipal levels who will pass stronger laws to protect Michigan’s drinking water, Great Lakes, air, and democracy and address the climate crisis.
State Government Affairs Coordinator
The Michigan League of Conservation Voters (LCV) is one of Michigan’s largest, most impactful political advocacy organizations tackling drinking water contamination, the rapidly-worsening impacts of climate change, and efforts to undermine our access to the ballot. We are seeking a full-time State Government Affairs Coordinator to support the development of policy positions for the organization, legislative and administrative advocacy, and the building of relationships with partners, stakeholders, and decision-makers.
State Government Affairs Manager
The Michigan League of Conservation Voters (LCV) is one of Michigan’s largest, most impactful political advocacy organizations tackling drinking water contamination, the rapidly-worsening impacts of climate change, and efforts to undermine access to the ballot. We are seeking a full-time State Government Affairs Manager to develop policy positions for the organization, execute legislative and administrative advocacy, and build and manage relationships with partners, stakeholders, and decision-makers.
OUR WATER ACTIVISTS
The Michigan League of Conservation Voters (MLCV) is seeking participants for the Our Water Activist Program through our Political and Outreach department. This is a three month training and engagement program that offers real-world organizing and training pertaining to protecting our environment through community and nonpartisan political engagement.

WINTER BREAK & PAID HOLIDAYS
Our offices are closed December 24 – January 1. Additionally, we offer 7 paid holidays throughout the course of the year.

PAID TIME OFF
3 weeks of paid time off in the first year of employment and 5 weeks every year thereafter for vacation, illness, or other personal time.

SABBATICAL PROGRAM
A paid 6-week sabbatical after working at Michigan LCV for 5 years.
