In June 2021, Michigan LCV adopted an ambitious strategic plan. In 20 years, we aim to reverse the legacy of toxic pollution, which has had devastating impacts on human health and our climate, so that we can provide every Michigander access to the cleanest air and land, and safest, most affordable water in the nation. In order to accomplish these goals, we need to grow our team. We are hiring the following positions:

Campaigns Director

We are seeking a full-time Campaigns Director to lead and direct our advocacy, electoral, lobbying, and public education programs. This senior-level position is responsible for managing and integrating our programs teams: Communications, State Government Affairs, Federal Government Affairs, Democracy for All, and Advocacy & Outreach.

Statewide Events & Internships Coordinator

We are seeking a dynamic full-time Events & Internships Coordinator to help anchor our statewide organizing work to elect champions by running aggressive, focused issue-education campaigns and holding elected officials accountable while in office.

Downriver Regional Coordinator

We are seeking a dynamic full-time Downriver Regional Coordinator to help anchor our regional organizing work to elect champions by running aggressive, focused issue-education campaigns and holding elected officials accountable while in office.

Lead 313/616 Votes In-Person & Virtual Canvasser

We are seeking two (2) Lead In-Person & Virtual Canvassers to educate, engage and mobilize a team of canvassers and Michigan voters.

OUR WATER ACTIVISTS

The Michigan League of Conservation Voters (MLCV) is seeking participants for the Our Water Activist Program through our Political and Outreach department. This is a three month training and engagement program that offers real-world organizing and training pertaining to protecting our environment through community and nonpartisan political engagement.

OUR BENEFITS PACKAGE

COMPREHENSIVE HEALTH BENEFITS

We provide quality health, dental and vision insurance for all full-time employees, effective on the employee’s first day. Michigan LCV pays for 100% of coverage for employees and 50% of the monthly premium cost for each spouse or dependent enrolled.

RETIREMENT PLAN

We maintain a SIMPLE IRA retirement plan and match contributions up to 3% of salary.

WINTER BREAK & PAID HOLIDAYS

Our offices are closed December 24 – January 1. Additionally, we offer 7 paid holidays throughout the course of the year.

PAID TIME OFF

3 weeks of paid time off in the first year of employment and 5 weeks every year thereafter for vacation, illness, or other personal time.

SABBATICAL PROGRAM

A paid 6-week sabbatical after working at Michigan LCV for 5 years.

PARENTAL LEAVE

14 weeks of parental leave, 6 weeks of which are fully-paid for bonding time with the child. Birthing parents may also use their short-term disability coverage for 5-7 weeks at 60% pay during their medical recovery period.

SHORT & LONG-TERM DISABILITY INSURANCE

Short-term and long-term disability insurance that is 100% funded by Michigan LCV and covers 60% of pay if an employee is ill or injured.
