You Can Protect #OurWater
In a state surrounded by 80% of the nation’s freshwater resources, every Michigander should have access to safe, clean, affordable drinking water. Sadly, dozens of communities are struggling with toxic tap water and countless waterways are now packed with potentially life-threatening pollutants.
Our Great Lakes — the fresh water supply for 15 million people — are chocked with invasive species, toxic algae and the threat of a devastating oil spill from the aging Line 5 pipeline.
State leaders have failed to protect our Great Lakes and our drinking water a priority. We need environmental champions in Lansing who will step up and craft a bold, comprehensive plan for addressing our state’s growing water crisis.
Michigan deserves better. Join the #OurWater campaign today!

We must keep our Great Lakes Great
The Great Lakes are at the heart of Michigan’s heritage, culture and way of life. They’re also one of the world’s greatest freshwater resources and it’s our responsibility stand up and protect our Great Lakes for future generations to enjoy. Learn more.
We must upgrade our water infrastructure
Reliable infrastructure is essential to keeping our water safe and clean, but decades of disinvestment in our municipal drinking and wastewater infrastructure have lead to massive sewage overflows that close beaches, make our waterways unfishable and put our families and our health at-risk.
