Governor Whitmer has appointed Phil Roos as the Director of the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy. Phil Roos has a background in organizational strategy and growth, as he served as the CEO of Upland, a consultant agency with a focus on innovative and strategic growth.
Phil Roos is a former board chair for Michigan League of Conservation Voters, and brings decades of experience in environmental protection and advocacy with him to his new position. In his newest role as Director of EGLE, Roos will play a key role in protecting Michigan’s land, air, and water. Michigan LCV is looking forward to continuing our relationship with Phil Roos in his new role as Director of EGLE.
