Ethan Petzold

Interim Advocacy & Outreach Director

Ethan is the Interim Advocacy & Outreach Director for Michigan LCV. He is a proud graduate of Central Michigan University where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Public & Nonprofit Administration with a minor in Leadership. He also holds a Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) Credential through the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance.

At 14 years old, he volunteered on then-State Representative Dian Slavens’ campaign and saw firsthand the positive difference that can be made through advocacy and organizing work–and he has never stopped since. Throughout the years, Ethan has worked in electoral politics and nonprofit organizations to make a difference for those who are too often left behind by our government. Most recently, he has managed competitive State Legislative races in Oakland, Wayne, and Monroe Counties.

In his spare time, you’ll find Ethan learning more about American political and electoral history especially about Michigan politics and former President Jimmy Carter, volunteering in his community, and spending time with family and friends.
