Michigan LCV: Nofs Plan is a Major Step Backwards

LANSING – Charlotte Jameson, policy manager for the Michigan League of Conservation Voters, today testified before the Senate Energy and Technology Committee in opposition to Senate Bill 437.

“Senator Nofs’ plan would pull the rug out from under our growing clean energy industry and create uncertainty for Michigan businesses,” said Jameson. “This plan ignores the savings that renewable energy and energy efficiency generate in Michigan and it undercuts programs that benefit families and businesses. We need a plan that truly brings down costs and reduces pollution, and the Nofs plan just doesn’t cut it.”
