Michigan LCV commends Consumers Energy for major clean energy commitment

LANSING – Lisa Wozniak, executive director of the Michigan League of Conservation Voters today issued the following statement praising Consumers Energy for its new commitment to reduce carbon emissions 80 percent by 2040.

We commend Consumers Energy for making a major commitment to clean, renewable energy, which will help lower electricity costs, create jobs and reduce dangerous pollution in our air, land and water,” said Wozniak, executive director of the Michigan League of Conservation Voters. “We will work with Consumers Energy to help them achieve their goal and hold them accountable to make sure their words become deeds.”
