Southeast Michigan Organizer

Lena Swirczek is a Southeast Michigan Organizer on the Advocacy & Outreach team. She recently graduated from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor with a degree in Global Environment and Health. Next year, she plans to study environmental law at Columbia Law School.

Prior to joining Michigan LCV, she worked with a student chapter of Citizens’ Climate Lobby where she gained a passion for politics and community organizing. She also spent time working for Representative Mauree Turner in Oklahoma’s House District 88 and saw firsthand the positive impact the representative had on their community.

In her spare time, Lena enjoys reading, cooking new vegetarian recipes, and biking around her neighborhood.
