SB 117: Electronic return for military absentee ballots

SB 117 would amend Michigan’s election law to allow military personnel on active duty or as part of the merchant marines to submit their absentee ballots electronically, provided that they utilize their United States Department of Defense Common Access Cards and submit from a US Military issued address to the appropriate clerk. This bill would increase access to the democratic process for our service members and generally increase Michigan voter participation.
