Laurie specializes in the design and management of group Health, Employee Benefit, and wellness programs for corporate clients. With over 30 years of experience, Laurie specializes in national and multi state employers representing a broad spectrum of industries. Laurie graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Virginia with a Bachelors in Science.
She has also earned her CEBS designation and is an instructor for the University of PA Wharton Business School CEBS Insurance and Employee Benefit Professional Designation Program through Eastern Michigan University. Laurie is an active member of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and founded the Insuring the Children chapter in Michigan. Laurie is a frequent speaker regarding Employee Benefits, Workers’ Compensation, and Risk Management. She has authored several published articles on various topics of insurance. She is a member of Vistage International and serves on the Board of the Michigan Association of Metal Finishers as well as WCC’s Foundation Board. She is a past participant in the CPCU program.
Laurie is a past board president for Skyline Women’s Lacrosse and past board member for Michigan Ability Partners (MAP). Laurie is a principal member of AIM (Associated Insurance Managers) and Michigan Agency Alliance (MAA). AIM is an elite group of Michigan based Property and Casualty agency owners that share market ideas, innovative risk strategies, coverage insights and market designs. Laurie was nominated and named a finalist in the 2012 Entrepreneurial Winning Women Award from Ernst & Young in Michigan. She was also nominated of the Soaring Eagle Leadership Award in 2007, 2010, and 2017 by the members of her Vistage Group.
