And we’ll show you two ways to help. Together, we can be a voice for change and protect Michigan’s land, air, water, public health, and democracy.
Investor-owned utility companies like DTE and Consumers consistently provide Michiganders with unreliable service at an extremely high cost. In coordination with Michigan United, We The People, and Michigan Environmental Justice Coalition, Michigan LCV is pressuring the State Legislature to pass legislation that holds these utilities accountable and provides fair compensation for Michiganders who lose power. House Energy Committee Chair, Rep. Helena Scott, has formed a taskforce around this issue and will be touring the state this summer. This Public Comment Workshop will prepare attendees with the tools to advocate for these issues in front of State Legislators on listening tour stops, at Coffee Hours, and in other settings.
