northern Michigan Regional Coordinator

Brenda has a twenty-five-year track record of working in defense of our natural resources in numerous capacities. Previously, she served as the Executive Director of the Indian River Tourist Bureau and Chamber of Commerce, she partnered with the National Wildlife Federation for seven years doing outreach work on their behalf, and is the Founder and President of Sturgeon for Tomorrow, an organization fighting to protect lake sturgeon in Michigan waterways. She is an avid outdoorswoman and is perhaps better known as our state’s Sturgeon General!

Brenda’s Favorite Place in Michigan: The Inland Waterway–an historic and scenic water trail that winds nearly 40 miles through Emmet and Cheboygan Counties
