Federal Government Affairs Director

As Federal Government Affairs Director, Bentley tracks all relevant activity in Washington D.C. surrounding Michigan LCV’s issues, and engages with Michigan’s federal delegation to communicate MLCV’s position and ensure the protection of our land, air, and water throughout the decision making process.

Before joining the Michigan League of Conservation Voters, Bentley served on the legislative staff for U.S. Senator Gary Peters, specializing in issues related to energy, agriculture, transportation, and the environment. Prior to his time in the Senate, Bentley worked in Washington, D.C. for the National Wildlife Federation in a number of different roles related to policy and advocacy.

Bentley graduated from the University of Michigan, majoring in Sociology and minoring in Program in the Environment. He and his wife love raising their two children in their original hometown of Ann Arbor.
