And we’ll show you two ways to help. Together, we can be a voice for change and protect Michigan’s land, air, water, public health, and democracy.
When our power goes out, we all pay the price.
Michigan has the worst reliability and the highest energy costs in the Midwest — with constant power outages thanks to the investor-owned monopoly utility DTE Energy.
Despite its terrible track record, DTE refuses to make meaningful investments to the energy grid to improve service. If DTE is going to claim rate cases will fund improvements to reliability and clean energy investments, we need proof of action and a system in place to hold them to their word. We can’t keep shelling out more money on empty promises.
Our rates are already too high, and now DTE wants to raise them by another $456 million just four months after securing a $368 million rate increase.
Enough is enough.
Thankfully, the Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) has final say on whether to improve DTE’s rate increase. We need your help to tell the MPSC to reject DTE’s rate increase and protect Michigan energy customers.
Send a message to MPSC: Reject DTE Energy’s rate increase.
