Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with us
Team DFA cordially invites you to Michigan LCV’s Hispanic Heritage Month event: Climate Conscious Conversations.
This celebration will feature a short program with West Michigan climate leaders, a networking reception with food and drinks, and a live performance by BachaPopi. Join us on Friday, September 15th at Linc Up in Grand Rapids.
This event is free and open to the public.

Check your Voter Registration
Make sure you’re ready to #VOTE. MI.Gov/Vote serves as the one-stop site for helpful information about where to find your clerk, polling place, and sample ballots!
Use the site to check your:
- Registration Status
- Polling place location and hours
- View a sample ballot
- Track an absentee ballot, and more!
Register to Vote
Are you a first time voter in Michigan? To register to vote in Michigan, you must be:
- A U.S. citizen
- At least 17.5 years old (18 years old when you vote)
- A Michigan resident for at least 30 days
- Not currently serving a sentence in jail or prison
Registering is easy as 1-2-3! One way to register is through the Michigan Online Voter Registration System. You need to have a valid Michigan driver’s license or state ID for this site.
Other ways to Register
You can register to vote up to and on Election Day. You just need proof of residency after the 15th day out of an Election and can’t do it online anymore. Other methods of registration include:
- Downloading a voter registration application then mailing or dropping off the form to your city/township clerk
- Your local Secretary of State branch office
- Your local county, city, or township clerk’s office
- Military recruitment centers
- Voter registration drives

Proposal 2 Update
Governor Whitmer signed a broad package of bills related to Proposal 22-2, better known as Prop 2. Last election cycle, voters supported this ballot proposal that will make voting easier, safer, and ensure the constitutional right to vote is available to all Michigan citizens.
