Utility announces game-changing plan to reduce carbon emissions by 80% by 2050

LANSING—The Michigan League of Conservation Voters (Michigan LCV) praised DTE Energy for today’s announcement that the energy company will reduce carbon emissions by more than eighty percent by 2050.

DTE’s bold plan to reduce the company’s emissions is exciting news for Michiganders across the state,” said Lisa Wozniak, executive director of the Michigan League of Conservation Voters. “Coming just a few months after state leaders passed strong clean energy reforms, DTE’s plan puts Michigan firmly on track toward clean, affordable, and reliable energy, regardless of what happens in Washington DC.”
