Your Vote Matters

Our job at Michigan LCV is to bring together a chorus of like-minded individuals who will then take action to protect our beautiful state, but it's your vote and your voice that matters!

 

Over the last 10 years, Michigan LCV has helped elect officials who actively support the environment – and to defeat shortsighted measures that jeopardized the long-term health of our communities in exchange for short-term profits.  But, we've only been able to do that because of you, the voters.

 

For example, during the 2008 election cycle, 23 out of the 26 candidates Michigan LCV endorsed for the State House won! This means we were successful in 88% of the work we did to get conservation-minded candidates elected to office!  Each of those victories, however, involved citizens, like you, who exercised their right to vote.

 

As we prepare for the 2010 election, Michigan LCV will again work to ensure that you - our members and supporters - have access to the information you need to cast well-educated votes – through our endorsement programs and campaign support for pro-environment issues.
