Southwest Michigan Regional Coordinator

Working out of the Kalamazoo area, Shannon is also a newly elected Kalamazoo City Commissioner. Her prior experience includes working on political campaigns, advocating for various social justice issues, and training non-profit organizations in grassroots movement-building.

She believes that access to clean water, air, and soil is one of the most pressing social justice issues of our time and is inspired by the groundswell of community activists coming together to work on this issue. She is the mother of four future social justice activists and enjoys spending time with them on any of our beautiful Michigan lakeshores.
