Michigan League of Conservation Voters responds to Gov. Snyder’s State of the State address

LANSING – Lisa Wozniak, executive director for the Michigan League of Conservation Voters today issued the following statement following Governor Rick Snyder’s final State of the State address:

Tonight was a moment to show that water is part of our culture, our way of life, and drives our economy — and Governor Snyder didn’t do that. Governor Snyder said we need a Marshall Plan for talent — what we need is a Marshall Plan for protecting our drinking water, Great Lakes, rivers and streams. We need a comprehensive, all-hands-on-deck plan. That demands bold action and leadership from the governor and Legislature, and we urge them to make protecting the Great Lakes and promoting clean water a leading issue in 2018 — not an afterthought.”
