March 2015: Great Lakes with the NWF Great Lakes Regional Center's Mike Shriberg

For a decade, our country has made Great Lakes restoration a national priority. Through Congressional and Presidential action, we have seen investment in cleaning up toxic pollution, restoring habitat, combating invasive species, and reducing runoff from cities and farms. But a host of environmental and funding challenges put Michigan’s waterways at serious risk.

Lisa welcomes Mike Shriberg, the new Regional Executive Director of the National Wildlife Federation’s Great Lakes Regional Center. Mike joined the National Wildlife Federation after serving for almost 5 years as the Education Director at the Graham Sustainability Institute at the University of Michigan. He’s been a long-time Great Lakes advocate, previously serving as both the Director of Environment Michigan and as the Policy Director at the Ecology Center.
