Operation FREE makes Michigan beachhead

Energy Security Threats
The veterans of Operation FREE have arrived in Michigan, and are bringing their message about the need for clean energy legislation to crowds of veterans, citizens, and policy-makers throughout the state.
After meetings in Battle Creek, Traverse City, Cheboygan, and Flint, the tour makes it way to Detroit for press visits with the Free Press, WJR and the Oakland Press, and meetings with the staff of Senators Levin and Stabenow. The veterans will also be treated to a St. Patrick's Day celebration, Detroit-style at Jacoby's.

On Thursday evening, the Michigan tour culminates with an appreciation dinner at VFW Post 1138 in Monroe before heading to Ohio.

You can follow the veterans in their own words in blog posts here, and read a news clip about the recent Flint event here.
