I don't want your coal for Christmas, I want leadership!

Last night as our hardworking staff gathered for our holiday party, our blackberries and cell phones starting ringing with calls from our friends in Lansing.

On the eve of the end of the COP15 negotiations, the Michigan House of Representatives, under the "leadership" of Speaker Andy Dillon, was considering stripping our protection from unneeded, expense and polluting coal fired power plants. Not only would this put in danger all of the hard work we have done to bring in new clean energy jobs, it would undermine what the world is calling for by way of US leadership: to slow, stop & reverse our greenhouse gas emissions.

There’s still time. Call your State Representative and remind them that the world and this state is watching and to be leaders in a clean energy economy.
