Cia is Michigan League of Conservation Voters’ Communications Director, where she is responsible for protecting and elevating the brand of Michigan’s leading, non-partisan political voice for the protection of our land, air, and water.
Cia brings a diverse background in both communications and government affairs to the MLCV team. She began her public policy career advocating on behalf of domestic violence survivors with the Hawaii State Legislature. Upon Cia’s return to her home state, she continued her political advocacy as Chief of Staff to the Speaker Pro Tempore of the Michigan House of Representatives and as a lobbyist with the state’s oldest multi-client lobby firm, Michigan Legislative Consultants. Immediately prior to joining MLCV, she was able to channel her creative energy as Communications Manager for the Grand Rapids Art Museum.
Cia is a proud graduate of Michigan State University—GO GREEN—an avid stand-up paddle boarder, mother to two fascinating children, and married to the most wonderful man on earth.
