How does your legislator score?
Michigan LCV’s Environmental Scorecard highlights the priorities of Michigan’s environmental community in each legislative session by scoring bill introductions, committee and floor votes for both the House and the Senate on their impact on Michigan’s natural resources. The Scorecard holds state legislators accountable for their votes on land, water and air issues throughout the entire legislative process to give a comprehensive view of the lifespan of legislation that impacts our state’s natural resources.
You will find factual, nonpartisan information about how each member of the legislature voted on conservation issues. We invite you to examine the scores of your representative and your senator to see how well their votes match up with your conservation values. Whether you are proud or disappointed by your legislator’s actions, use Michigan’s Legislative Directory to call or write your legislators and tell them what you think!
Our most recent scorecard is the 2014 Lame Duck Environmental Scorecard. This scorecard updates the 2013-2014 Environmental Scorecard to include important and controversial votes cast during the final months of 2014. Click on the graphic below to access the Scorecard.
